Depending on the type of cacti, they can be lethal. I think they’ve been used as needles for suturing, (in a pinch). When I was a little girl, we stopped at one of those tourist shops and my parents bough me a set of hankies crocheted out of cacti, but unfortunately they didn’t hold up in the wash. They sure were pretty though.
