Because my humor sucks…

Because people still don’t get my humor I’d like to clarify a few things!

I am a man. I’ve never been a woman that I know of. I am in fact married and I don’t private message with people. That’s a quick road to divorce and none of you are worth that.

Gary is a friend of mine. I found a long time ago that sticking with a staple name as your scape goat helps in the long run! Bloggers are sensitive creatures and if I used different names in my posts I’d simply increase the amount of email I’d get asking “are you talking about me?” If I am talking about you I’d say your name jim…

I write to write. I write humor, I write thoughts, I post it all. I’m not here to teach people how to be blogging experts or to master SEO. There are tons of… people… attempting that already. Go read their regurgitated material.

My personal posts are normally late night thoughts connected by a handheld drink. Many people in the news and on marketing websites will tell you not to write “in the moment” and to carefully review what you post before putting it out into the world. I don’t subscribe to that line of thought. I actually don’t give it much thought at all. I post my life away.

  1. Hey there! My name is Ben, and I’m fourteen years old. I’m a big fan of your blog. I happen to have my own growing humor blog, and I was wondering if you might let me feature on your site. And if there’s anything I can do for you, just say the word.

    Let me know

  2. Haha! Don’t worry, people don’t get my humor either… Even when I give them a laugh prompt… Like “dude, that was a joke and it was actually funny.” They still look at me like “was it really?” Lol anyway, I think you’re funny (Don’t worry, no need to PM me)

  4. It makes me really sad to see that you write such things about yourself. Your humor doesn’t suck, quite the opposite. Just because someone didn’t get your humor, that doesn’t mean there is a problem with it. It seems to me that you have impossible standards for yourself, but you are very tolerant with others. If you saw one of your posts written by another blogger, i don’t believe you would ever write to him: your humor sucks because you are kind. You deserve to show the same kindness towards yourself.

  6. You’re a rule breaking rebel and I love that… and I snorted while reading this post because just today I told my coworker you might be a woman. You’re definitely Olly, the straight guy in the Laurel and Hardy comedy team. Or should I say Jason and Gary comedy team πŸ˜‚

You really made my day !!

  7. I think it’s because your Korean. I mean, seriously, how many good Korean comedians can you name? There aren’t even many good jokes about Koreans. Have you ever heard a “How many Koreans does it take to change a light bulb?” joke? If they don’t have lightbulb jokes then they’re not funny.

How many Americans does it take to change a lightbulb? 10. 1 to change the bulb, 9 to fill out the EPA impact forms.

  8. What? You’re not a woman? This changes everything! Haha! It’s obvious that some people don’t read everything you post. Well actually… you do write a lot, so not reading everything you post probably includes most people. πŸ™‚ In regard to when and when not to write – Some of the best posts I’ve ever read (and written) have been written in the moment. Why waste precious thought material by waiting?
