Project H – Our Home

My name is Tessa (born Teresa Dean) Smeigh, divorced the Smeigh part, but kept the name. Easier that way. He thought the grass was greener on the other side. What he found was that “the grass is always greener over the septic tank.” (Erma Bombeck I believe) Hope he and septic tank are very happy.

Alas, he did something right as I have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.

Rich and family

The one picture is 1/3 of my family. My daughter is a single mom (a nurse who recently graduated with her BSN after many years of hard work and with 2 children to raise plus working a full time job). The oldest son who just graduated high school, enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He leaves for boot camp in Parris Island, SC in the new year. The youngest son is 9 years old.

The other picture is of my 3 kids and I. Both girls have 2 children each. My son is a bachelor still.

I live in Deptford Township, NJ. Deptford is a small community/suburb outside of Philadelphia. It is separated in different sections by other towns and I live in the Oak Valley section. I live in my dad’s home and so does my son. This development I live in came into existence just about the same time I entered this world, making this house about 60 years old.

I am an advocate and blog about mental health and other invisible (physical and mental) illnesses, plus my blog and my life is dedicated to God, a recent change for the better.

I am a writer of all sorts so you are bound to find all kinds of topics on my blogs, plus stories and poems.

Being disabled, this gives me a way to give back.
