This Is Not a Guest Post

Garbage Car

And this is not a good driver. The photo has nothing whatsoever to do with this post, but I found it too amusing not to share.

_______________________________________________________

A couple of weeks ago, Opinionated Man invited me to write a guest post. I’ve been so busy with my own life that I simply haven’t found time.

NOTE TO NEWBIES:  If a blogger with 58,000+ followers invites you to guest post, don’t hesitate – jump on it immediately before he changes his mind!

Anyway.

While I totally love Jason Cushman, I am just a tad annoyed that he rejected the proposed hijacking of his blog by my alter-ego, Not Cordelia’s Mom. I found out quite by accident that she had emailed asking if she could take my place as the guest poster, and he said …. What? (you ask) What did he say? … well, actually, he didn’t say no, but he didn’t say yes either, and Not CM got her panties all in a twist and decided she wanted nothing further to do with him.

His loss. And yours, I might add – Not CM is so much more outspoken than I am and has gathered quite a little cult following of her own.  (You can find her response to Jason’s rejection here.)

Anyway.

As my own readers know, I am in the process of looking for a new job, having recently found out that the law firm I’ve worked at for the last 17-1/2 years is folding. Needless to say, job-hunting at my advanced age is not an easy task, and is taking quite a toll on me, both physically and emotionally.  Therefore, I have very little time to devote to my own blog, much less to guest posting for someone else.

But I am grateful to Jason for asking, and I will eventually come up with a subject appropriate for his blog. You all should come back here every single day so that you don’t miss that wonderful post when it is finally published.

See you soon. Meanwhile, tell Jason how much you’re looking forward to having me return.

(And thank you, Jason, for allowing me to not-guest-post for you today!)

  1. great blog sorry you regular job is folding but what is the matter with doing the blog business full time if you don’t mind me asking. You seem to have a head for it and I certainly like you and after all you brought it yourself if Jason Cushman who has 58,000 follower ask you to guest post you have to be something special. Go for it. Good Luck.

    • What a nice comment! I would absolutely love to write full-time. The only problem is, I still have a mortgage and utilities to pay, as well as food to buy. If you know of anyone who’d like to hire me as a writer, send that lead along!

      • I give it some thought in the meantime can’t your law office get you on with another law office after 17.5 years in their employment they should be able to do all they can do to help you after all you were there for them when they needed you. Now you need them so they should help afterall you wouldn’t be in the fix if they hadn’t decided to close the doors. Send out some resume and see what can happen about the writing…or after 17.5 years at a law firm I’m sure you have some good stories to tell without using names and changing facts or hey you are a good writer make it up…You can do it and I will be your biggest fan beside your daughter. • there a lot of places in the publishing world that will buy a book from lawyers, assistants and whatever else there is out there. My advice if you don’t have one already do like Jason is doing get a website then get another one and get lots of followers find you an editor, agent and anything else you might need slowly of course and write one hell of a book publish it or have Jason publish your first one sell lots of copies that will get your foot in the door and keep writing. Someone will see what I already do and Jason does and then make you a household name before you know it. GOOD LUCK I say go for it. ❤ Kat

    • Although I never got a good view of the driver, I suspect she was elderly because I had followed that car from the senior apartment complex near my house. Some of those residents are quite forgetful – and always “fun” to be around on the road, believe me!
