Bleeding Out

Bleeding tears of life I grasp for understanding till the last moment. Till the last drop. My heart races as it pumps blood in vain, a hopeless pursuit to save what is lost. I am lost, but still in plain sight which makes the irony of the moment that much stronger. That much more painful. And as I die I do so before an audience and to the sound of their applause. A sound that matches the simple splashes of life as they hit the ground. As I bleed out.

  1. What you wrote made me realize that there is nothing distinguished about holding it all in. I think sometimes I’m the coward for holding it in. Maybe I need to bleed, and if not bleed, at least vomit all over something, that revealed, is now a cancer in my life.
